Pegasus Journal is part of Support Our Paras (registered charity number 1131977), a charity which supports The Parachute Regiment through the welfare of serving soldiers and families and those affected by recent operations, and through the maintenance of its regimental efficiency, ethos, spirit and heritage. For further information about the activities of Support Our Paras, please email

Pegasus is the journal of The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces, and exists to maintain links between serving and retired members through the exchange of news and information.

How we collect information

Registration information for Pegasus Journal online subscribers is collected via online forms. The information collected consists solely of the subscriber’s name and email address.

Use of your information

Information supplied during the subscription process is used for the purpose of granting access to online issues of the journal and to allow communication between Pegasus and its subscribers. Such communication is restricted to the provision of information about our services.

Who has access to your data

Only the administrative staff of Pegasus Journal can access the names and email addresses of subscribers. Data collected by us will never be transferred to a third party for any purpose whatsoever.

Accessing and amending your own information

Users’ registration information will be visible to the user on his or her profile page. Where it is in error, it will be amended by Pegasus Journal within 7 days of receipt of the user’s request. Such data will not be visible to other users.

Removal of data

Registration data will be retained during the subscription period, and destroyed within 14 days of membership being cancelled, or within one year of the subscription lapsing.

Withdrawal by the user of permission to hold data will be equivalent to the termination of that user’s subscription to Pegasus Journal.

Security precautions to protect personal information

All user data is stored on a secure server and can be accessed only by the authorised administrators of the website. No sensitive information (such as credit or debit card details) is collected by the Pegasus Journal site.

Non-sensitive information (such as email addresses etc.) received by us is protected to the best of our ability, but we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted via the Internet, and such information is provided to us at your own risk. In order to access your account, you will be issued with or will choose a password, and you are responsible for keeping this secure. We ask that you do not share your password with anyone.


Like many other websites, the Pegasus Journal site makes use of cookies.
